PRESEASON TOP 10 TEAMS

 TOP TEN TEAMS 2021 PREVIEW

  7. RICHARD PETTY MOTORSPORTS (2020 OFF)
  8. CHIP GANASSI RACING (2020 #7)
  9. 23XI RACING (2020 OFF)

This Top 10 is not that much different from the 2020 end of year Top 10. The top six teams are the same. At #7 we find Richard Petty Motorsports who just missed the Top 10 at the end of 2020.  They start the season with new driver Erik Jones right behind Richard Childress Racing an organization they have an alliance with. Chip Ganassi Racing drop a place from where they ended the year, in part because they have Ross Chastain in the #42 car for his first full Cup season. At #9 we find a brand new entry, 23XI Racing. This brand new entry from Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin and driven by Bubba Wallace. Based on the fact that they have equipment from Joe Gibbs Racing, a known quantity and driven by Bubba Wallace another known quantity. Lastly at #10 we have Roush Fenway Racing starting this year where they ended the year last year.
