My #5 driver to watch is the defending Monster Energy Cup Champion, #22 Joey Logano. Joey has ten starts here with three Top 5’s and a HUGE win last year that got him the Monster Energy Cup. All three of his Top 5’s came in the last four races.  He is #4 ranked for me on tracks like this and rolls in here 5th hottest over the last six races.

My #4 driver is coming off a big win in Phoenix, #11 Denny Hamlin. Denny is ranked #7 on tracks like this but is also #2 hottest over the last six weeks. He has 14 starts here, a win in 2013 and four Top 5’s’- 29%. Denny has great momentum coming out of Phoenix but sadly I think he may come up a little short.

My #3 driver to watch has the highest percentage of Top 5’s, #4 Kevin Harvick. Kevin has 16 starts at this track on this configuration, a win five years ago and nine Top 5 finishes 63%. He is #1 in average finish and in his 16 starts, 15 have been Top 10’s. His last five races were all Top 5’s. He is #2 rated on tracks like this. He is also #3 hottest over the last six weeks.

My #2 driver won here four years ago, #18 Kyle Busch. Kyle has 14 starts, that win and four Top 5’s- 29%. Kyle is #4 hottest over the last six weeks. He is also #3 rated on tracks like this. He finished fourth here last year and even though he has been strong this year he hasn’t been as dominate as he has in the past.

The number #1 driver won here two years ago when he won the championship, #19 Martin Truex Jr. He is #1 hottest over the last six weeks. But more importantly he is #1 ranked at tracks like this. He has been killing it at all the 1.5 mile tracks all year long but he has been slightly better on the higher banked tracks. Here, he has 14 starts and five Top 5 finishes- 36%. He got a win here two years ago and last year finished second to Cup Championship winner Joey Logano.

Monday look for our year end Top Ten teams.
