TOP TEN TEAMS PRE SEASON

TOP TEN TEAMS PRE SEASON 2020

  1. JOE GIBBS RACING (LY #1)
  2. TEAM PENSKE (LY #2)
  3. CHIP GANASSI RACING (LY #4)
  4. STEWART HAAS RACING (LY #3)
  5. HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS (LY #5)
  6. ROUSH FENWAY RACING (LY #6)
  7. WOOD BROTHERS RACING (LY #7)
  8. JTG DAUGHERTY RACING (LY #9)
  9. GERMAIN RACING (LY OFF)
  10. RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING (LY #8)

Joe Gibbs Racing was #1 for most of the year last year so it is not at all surprising that they remain at the top spot after #18 Kyle Busch got the win in Florida and won the championship. JGR had the most wins and no driver changes, so they stay at #1. Team Penske hold at #2 after sending all their drivers into the Playoffs and like JGR they kept their driver rooster in tack. Chip Ganassi Racing are another organization that has no driver changes since bringing in #1 Kurt Busch last year. They are the highest ranked Chevrolet team at #3. Stewart Haas Racing says goodbye to Daniel Suarez in the #41 car and hello to Cole Custer, who had an outstanding year in the Xfinity Series. They go back one place from where they were last year at the end on the year to #4. At #5 we find Hendrick Motorsports right where they ended the season. A team that saw a good deal of driver changes recently keeps the rooster the same. Although 7 time Cup Champion #48 Jimmie Johnson has announced this would be his last season. Also staying in the same position we have Roush Fenway Racing at #6. They lost Ricky Stenhouse Jr to JTG Daugherty Racing after they announced they would be bringing in #37 Chris Buescher from JTG. At #7 we have the new look Wood Brothers Racing. They welcomed in red hot Matt DiBennedetto from Leavine Family Racing after Paul Menard announced his retirement. Moving up a spot at #8 is JTG Daugherty Racing who brought in Ricky Stenhouse Jr to replace Chris Buescher. Left off the End of Season Top Ten is this years #9 team Germain Racing. They return with Ty Dillion who ended the season at #24 last year. Lastly at #10 we find Richard Childress Racing. RCR ended the year at #8 but with Daniel Hemric out of the #8 car to make way for  Tyler Reddick they dropped two places. It won’t take long for RCR to start moving up.

Monday the 13th look for the debut of our Pre Season Top 30 Drivers for 2020.
