TOP FIVE DRIVERS

WATKINS GLEN

The #5 pick is a driver that has won in here and in Sonoma, #4 Kevin Harvick. Kevin has 17 starts, one win, and three Top 5’s. He is #3 rated for me on road courses and is #2 hottest over the last six weeks.

My #4 driver to watch is a former winner here, #22 Joey Logano. Joey got his first road course win here three years ago. He has nine starts, that win in 2015 and three total Top 5’s. He is rated #4 for me on road courses and locked into the Playoffs, he’ll be running relaxed and confident.

The #3 driver is a two time former winner, #18 Kyle Busch. In his 13 starts here Kyle has two wins and five Top 5’s. Be on the lookout for Kyle to make some gambles that take him to (or keep him in) the front of the pack. He is #3 hottest over the last six weeks and ranked #1 on road courses. Kyle finished seventh here last year.

My #2 driver has never won here, #41 Kurt Busch. Kurt has 17 starts at the Glen with just three of them being Top 5’s. He has won at the other road course in Sonoma, a big reason why he is #2 rated for me on road courses and #6 hottest over the last six weeks.

My #1 pick is the defending champion of this race, #78 Martin Truex. Martin has 12 starts here, that win and four Top 5 finishes. He had a big win at Sonoma this year and of course won here last year on his way to the Championship. He is my #1 hottest driver over the last six weeks and I don’t look for him to cool off here in the Finger Lakes region.

Monday look for my preview of the Consumers Energy 400 from Michigan International Raceway.
