My #5 driver to watch is coming off a big win in the A-T-L, #48 Jimmie Johnson. Jimmie is a two-time winner on this configuration, and a two-time winner on the old one. He is also #3 hottest over the last six weeks.

The #4 driver is a two-time former winner of this race, #19 Carl Edwards. Carl won here in 2008 and again in 2011. Carl is one of the best of the downforce track racers and has finished Top 5 five times in his nine starts on this configuration.

My #3 pick is another former winner, #2 Brad Keselowski. Brad won here in 2014 and has one other Top 5 in his seven races run here. Brad is my #3 ranked driver on tracks like this and #six hottest over the last six races.

My #2 driver has not always been strong here, #78 Martin Truex Jr. Martin started the year with a second place finish in Daytona and a 7th place finish in Atlanta. That helps make him #2 in points and #4 hottest over the last six races. Last year Martin finished 2nd here, his only Top 5 in nine starts.

The #1 driver is off to a good start this year, #18 Kyle Busch. Kyle is the #1 hottest driver over the last six races and sits 1st in points.  He has eight starts, a win, and just two Top 5’s. I’m sure Kyle is very happy to be home in sin city.

Monday look for our preview of the Good Sam 500 from Phoenix.
