TOP FIVE DRIVERS

AAA 400

My #5 driver is coming off a big win in New Hampshire, #20 Matt Kenseth. Matt has 33 starts at the Monster Mile, two wins and 15 Top 5’s. Matt knows he’ll make it to the next round of Chase races and should be running fast and loose.

My #4 driver is a former-winner here, #2 Brad Keselowski. Brad comes into the First State with 11 starts, one win and four Top 5’s. Those four Top 5’s all came in his last six starts. Brad has missed the Top 5 too many times this year, this is the place to get back to the front.

The #3 pick is a five-time winner here at the Monster Mile, #24 Jeff Gordon. Four of Jeff’s last six races here were Top 5’s, and one of those was a win. That win came in this race last year helping him to the #3 highest average finish.

The #2 pick doesn’t have the best stats here, #22 Joey Logano. Joey comes into the Monster Mile with 13 starts, no wins and three Top 5’s. But Joey is #2 hottest over the last six weeks and #3 ranked on track like this. Six of his last seven races here were Top 10’s.

My #1 driver is a ten-time former winner, #48 Jimmie Johnson. Here at Dover Jimmie has ten wins in just 27 starts and 15 Top 5’s. He has seven wins in his last 13 starts including the race here in May! Jimmie has 22 straight Top 20 finishes, 19 of those were Top 10’s. He has the #1 highest average finish.
