Duck Commander 500 from TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY

My #5 driver to watch has been makin’ it happen at places this year where he hasn’t before, #2 Brad Keselowski. Brad only has two Top 5’s in his 13 starts. One of those though was the autumn race last year. The important stat here is that he is #4 hottest over the last six weeks.

The #4 driver is #1 hottest over the last six weeks, #4 Kevin Harvick. Kevin has 24 starts and just four Top 5’s. He is rated #2 for me on the intermediate tracks and he did finish 2nd in his last stop here.

My #3 pick this week is the driver who has the best average finish in Texas, #20 Matt Kenseth. Matt has always done very well here, he has 25 starts, two wins and 13 Top 5 finishes. 13 of his last 16 starts here were all Top 10 and eight of the last 12 were Top 5’s. Matt is also #3 ranked for me on tracks like this.

My #2 driver is the most recent winner at Texas Motor Speedway, #48 Jimmie Johnson. Jimmie won here during The Chase in the autumn of last year and the year before. He is #1 rated on the intermediate tracks. Jimmie has 23 starts, four wins and 11 Top five finishes.

My #1 pick is the defending winner of this spring race, #2 Joey Logano. Joey has 13 starts, that win, and four Top 5 finishes in the Lone Star State. Joey is a Top 5 ranked driver on tracks like this and is 2nd hottest over the last six weeks.

Monday look for our preview of the FOOD CITY 500 from Bristol Motor Speedway.
