1.5  MILES 24 Degrees of Banking

With the pressure and drama of the Daytona 500 over; the Yellow Flags of LA behind us, and the blown engines of Las Vegas over and done with; it is time for some good old fashion, high speed, high banking and fast action racing. Atlanta, Lowes and Dallas get a bad rap for being “cookie cutter” tracks. If that is the case: bring it on. There is always good racin’ in the ATL. Here is a place where you can come from the back and win if you hit the right set up and make the right changes during the race. The first three races of the year were almost distractions, now the real season begins. The top 30 in owner’s points are trying to figure out how to lock into the Chase for the Cup in the next 23 races. Those 31 and above in owners points have only 2 races left to lock into the top 35 and thus be guaranteed to be in each race. For all drivers fighting to be in the top 35 this is ALL they care about right now. Interesting note:  15 of the last 26 races here have been won by Hendrick Motorsports (6) or Joe Gibbs Racing (9).
